Bryan Magers, President and Owner of Bryan Properties has worked in the Springfield housing market since 1979. After completing military service, he joined with eight other real estate brokers to form House of Brokers (Now RE/MAX House of Brokers), working with Monty Schneider to form Magers-Schneider Home Builders and built over 100 properties. He started Bryan Properties in 1985 with the purchase of a house just west of Missouri State University. He began to build duplexes and single-family homes for rent, and 1989 he began building 12- 18- unit apartment buildings. In 1991 he left the House of Brokers to work full-time in the rental construction and management business.
Today, Bryan Properties strives to provide quality rental housing at affordable prices. In addition to single-family homes and duplexes, the company now manages apartments, student housing, shopping centers and offices. Recent projects include the construction of University Suites at Drury University, a 72 bed certified LEED platinum student housing and community center; and the first phase of Bear Village at Missouri State University, a 42,000 square-foot complex consisting of 24 apartment units with four bedrooms and four baths Bare Village will be a 700-student community.
Bryan graduated from University of Missouri with a degree in Business. He, along with his brother and father, received the prestigious “Builder of the Year” award from the Springfield Contractor’s Association in 2007. He has served as president and board member for the Greater Springfield Apartment & Housing Association, the Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Missouri State University Foundation and the Springfield Area Sports Hall of Fame. He is a long-time member, officer and board member of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. A retired marathoner, he now enjoys swimming, golf and yoga with his wife Chris.
